| Biography | Anthony is in his 29th year of Law Enforcement. He started his law enforcement career with the New York City Police Department (NYPD) in 1997, where he served for three years in the Brooklyn South area of NYC, and is currently in his 26th year with the U.S. Secret Service, where he serves as an ATSAIC in the New York Field Office. In April of 2000, Anthony joined the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) and was assigned to the New York Field Office. In his first assignment, Anthony was assigned to the Airport Squad which covered both John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia Airports. While serving in this position, Anthony served on the FBI Task Force and investigated all thefts and smuggling operations occurring through these Airports, conducted the security plan for arrivals/departures of all USSS Protectees including the President, Vice President, and Papal Visits. On September 11, 2001, Anthony and his airport team coordinated the personnel recall and evacuation of all New York Field Office agents assigned to WTC. Following the attacks of 9/11, Anthony was selected to coordinate the U.S. Congressional Delegation’s visit to Ground Zero, in conjunction with President Bush’s visit there on Friday, September 14, 2001. During the next phase of his NYC assignment, Anthony held various roles. He conducted financial investigations, as well as creating and supervised the USSS/NYC Financial Crime Task Force, which conducted worldwide financial investigations in conjunction with local, state, and Federal agencies. He was later assigned to the Protection Squad, which covered all USSS Protectees coming into NYC, which included the President, Vice President, the Republican National Convention in 2004, as well as the annual United Nations General Assembly every September. In 2008, Anthony was transferred to Washington, DC, and was assigned to the Presidential Protection Division (PPD) where he served for six years under the President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama Administration’s. His initial assignment was the First Daughter’s detail under President Bush. With the inauguration of President Obama in 2009, he was reassigned to the Presidential Transportation Division where he was tasked with driving the President and coordinated Presidential Motorcades around the country and the world. He was later assigned to one of President Obama’s shift details where he conducted Presidential Sites, Lead Advances, overseas Site Advances, Presidential Logistics as well as the 2012 Presidential Campaign. In 2016, Anthony returned to the New York Field Office, where he was assigned to oversee NYC Protective Operations. In 2020, Anthony was promoted to the position of Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge (ATSAIC), of the NYC Protection Squad. Anthony is the Liaison to NYPD, FDNY, PAPD, as well as the overall Liaison for the New York Field Office involving any USSS protectees or USSS protection related events in NYC. Anthony still currently serves in this role for the New York Field Office. |
