Biography | Anthony Lacorazza is in his 26th year of Law Enforcement. He started his career with the New York City Police Department (NYPD) in 1997, where he served three years in the Brooklyn South area of NYC. During his time with the NYPD, Anthony served as a patrol officer, was in a gang enforcement squad, and their Civil Disturbance Unit (Task Force). In April of 2000, Anthony became a U.S. Secret Service Agent (USSS) and was assigned to the New York Field Office, World Trade Center, NYC. In his first assignment in NYC, he was assigned to the USSS Airport Squad which covered John F. Kennedy (JFK) and LaGuardia Airports. Anthony served on the FBI Task Force which investigated all thefts and smuggling operations occurring through these Airports, conducted the security plan for all arrivals/departures for USSS Protectees including the President, Vice President, and Papal Visits. During the next phase of this NYC assignment, Anthony was assigned to various squads. He conducted financial investigations, created and supervised the USSS Financial Crime Task Force in NYC which conducted worldwide financial investigations with local, state, and Federal agencies. He then worked in the NYC Protection Squad, which covered all USSS Protectees coming into NYC, which included the President, Vice President, the Republican National Convention in 2004, the annual United Nations General Assembly every September where over 120 heads of state are in attendance. In 2008, Anthony was transferred to the Washington, DC, and was assigned to the Presidential Protection Division (PPD) where he served six years. His initial assignment was the First Daughter’s detail under President Bush, and after President Obama’s Inauguration in 2009, he was reassigned to the Presidential Transportation Division where he drove the President and coordinated Presidential Motorcades around the country and the world. He then was assigned to one of the President Obama shift details where he conducted Presidential Sites, Lead Advances, and overseas Site Advances, and Logistics. In 2013, Anthony was assigned to the Dignitary Protective Division (DPD) which handles all the Foreign Heads of State/Government visiting the United States, coordinates the annual United Nations General Assembly in NYC every September, Papal visits, and both the Democratic and Republican National conventions. In 2016, Anthony was transferred back to the New York Field Office, Brooklyn, NY, where he handled NYC Protective Operations which included the logistics for election night when Candidate’s Donald Trump and Former First Lady Hillary Clinton had their election night rallies. In 2020, Anthony was promoted to the position of Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge (ATSAIC) and supervises all the USSS Protective visits in NYC. He was also appointed as the USSS/NYC liaison to the NYPD, Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) and the Port Authority Police Department of New York/New Jersey (PAPD) and represents the New York Field Office for all major events involving USSS Protectees. Over Anthony’s 26 years in Law Enforcement, he has contributed and served in numerous foundations and philanthropy organizations. In 2021, Anthony was given the opportunity to serve the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T) as their Federal Liaison, in support of all Federal Agents and their families in need. In 2022, Anthony was given the honor of serving on the T2T Executive Board, where he uses his Law Enforcement and 1st Responder experience to grow and support the T2T mission, which is to Never Forget those who serve and their families, who have made the ultimate sacrifice or were seriously injured in the line of duty. December 2019 – Anthony received the Patriotic Employer Award by Department of Defense (DOD) for compliance with the law, and for the dignity, fairness and respect accorded to the active members of the Guard and Reserve they employ. |
