Joseph Tallarine

Joseph R. Tallarine joined the Department in 1986. He was first assigned to N.S.U. 12, and then transferred to the 71 Precinct. Joe also worked in the Brooklyn South Task Force, the 68 Precinct, the 76 Precinct, and the 83 Precinct. He was assigned to the 83 Detective Squad in 2000, and earned his gold shield in 2003. Joe was elected as the DEA 83 Squad Delegate in 2011. In 2016, he moved to Brooklyn North Homicide and was appointed DEA Delegate at Large. He was elected DEA Brooklyn North Welfare Officer in 2017, and elected DEA Sergeant at Arms in 2021. He is now a fully-released union Officer and the Executive Assistant to the President. Joe is also the President of the NYPD Honor Legion.
